a week in paris is a life changer. montmartre and the beautiful sacre coeur are just some of the incredible sights to see. i don’t remember ever seeing a sky like this before.

we took the train from paris to reims, france to visit mumm and veuve cliquot’s champagne houses. on the ride back to paris, i took this shot of the countryside with some vineyards in the background.

i have been visiting the san juan islands since i was a young boy. washington state is famous for its apples and i saw this gravenstein tree on a visit to orcas island in 2005.

we stopped in st thomas, usvi in january during a cruise on holland america’s ms eurodam. the butterfly farm was a delightful stop.
