Fireworks on Canada Day

big wood green

the big wood river runs through sun valley and ketchum, idaho. i followed a trail along the river and paused when i saw the light through this tree.

idaho june

staying at the diamond d ranch near bonanza, idaho. the 20 mile dirt/rock road going into the ranch zigzags through the mountains. the scenery is indescribable.

we landed in boise and drove to ketchum, idaho for a family reunion. the sun sets late here. I shot this a little after 9:00 pm.

anders osborne was born in sweden but has called new orleans his home for the past several decades. he is an incredibly talented singer/songwriter and guitarist. george porter jr. from the funky meters is in the background.

bottle brush

had lunch with the family friday at stone brewing in escondido. the grounds are beautiful and the bottle brush was magnificent.

pretty in purple

i shot this while visiting paso robles in august, 2008. i like the soft background and the light.

sun through oak

last sunday was a glorious day at dorland mountain arts colony. in the late afternoon i caught the sun peeking through the branches of an oak tree.

baja dawn

i love the area between rosarito beach and ensenada. i shot this early in the morning in 2007.
