the weather was idyllic during last week’s visit to napa. it was crisp and sunny and two ducks enjoyed a leisurely swim along the napa river.

i visited napa and for the first time spent the majority of my time in downtown napa. it’s a vibrant place and one you should consider adding to your radar next time you head there.

this is such an extraordinary time to visit the napa valley. the air is crisp and clean and the colors are vivid. this is what venge vineyards looked like yesterday.

we visited the napa valley at the end of october. the colors there at that time of year are mesmerizing.

wrapping up our california wine tour, we visited corison winery, then had lunch at the culinary institute of america at greystone. at larkmead winery, i took this shot in the vineyards.
