through a glass softly

i visited heitz cellars in the napa valley yesterday. i thought looking through my wine glass at the bottles behind it made for an interesting effect.

this photo was taken in march at fratelli perata winery in paso robles. those bare vines are certainly popping with fruit now.


good news

i saw this sign at a winery at a winery in lodi and heaved a sigh of relief.


buzzed

bees just love grapes. i really like the lighting in this photo.


the vines are popping

spring has arrived and with it signs of life in the vineyards. this shot is from a visit to fallbrook winery this past saturday.


it won’t be long

the vines are dormant now, but in a few short months we will witness bud break. this picture was taken early in the growing season last year at la cereza winery.
